About Rotary Blood Centre
As a proud initiative of the Rotary Club Jodhpur organisation, the Rotary Blood Centre Jodhpur was established under the guiding principle of "Service Above Self." We operate as a premier non-profit blood bank facility serving Western Rajasthan. We started operation on 13th June 2018.
Equipped with state-of-the-art apheresis machines and rigorous blood donor screening capabilities, we process thousands of units annually to provide Red Cells, Platelets, Fresh Frozen Plasma and Single donor platelets to hospitals across the region.
Community Impact
Through hundreds of voluntary blood donation camps held at universities, corporate offices, and community centers, we have built a robust registry of hundreds of active volunteers. This ensures that even during crises, we maintain an adequate supply of rare and common blood types.
The Thalassemia Day Care Centre
A cornerstone of our charitable work is the Rotary Sumitra Gehlot Thalassemia Day Care Centre. Thalassemia patients require lifelong, regular blood transfusions. We have a dedicated blood transfusion wing to ensure over 75 registered children receive these life-saving transfusions entirely free of cost, in a cheerful, infection-free environment.
Our transfusion services started on 15th September 2021. Over 6,000 units of blood have been issued to Thalassemia children so far. Also, 6 of our patients have undergone successful bone marrow transplant till June 2026.
